From what ive been looking at and reading, we(VAG people) have to take off the front bumper and trim those plastic fins in there on the inside to fit the IC in, other than that theres just the piping. I really dont think you've gotta pull the whole motor out, thats a bit extreme for just a FMIC. You might need to maybe loosen the front of the fenders depending on how those pipes are routed through, but i think it just all goes upfront. you may need to remove the lower small grilles where the fog lights sit. Most of the cars i see have that out. Idk if its a look they go for, or if theyre just in the way.
