7005 is actually quite strong and used in aircraft frame manufacture. I don't want flex in this area anyway. If I hit anything hard and fast enough to break that upright(according to the stress analysis I derived from Cosmos) I've got bigger problems to worry about
6061 T6 is commonly used as it's far cheaper and easier to come by. Alot of aftermarket stuff(bov's, wastgate diaphram bodies, etc) is actually 6063 "relabled" as 6061...
