Moon Performance is on a distinguished road

chiming in!

Well i guess i may as well chime in whilst i recover from a buscher induced migraine. LOL. Anyways, yesterday afternoon, i prepped the rom for the tune and found the injector size to be off, fixing that and bat offset, instantly cleared out the misfire and the car stopped consuming fuel like it was. I think travis got about 8 mpg on the trip up here, i have done numerous pulls and have only used an 1.8th tank now! trav, youll be psyched about that if nothing else. Motor sounds wonderful, no noise at all that i usually associate with forged pistons ( i know i have forged cp's in the shop car and they irritate me to say the least) there are some roadblocks to moster power at this point, but as travis mentioned, its all going to come together down the line. i would do a monster topmount, or a front mount, tgv deletes and at least water injection, i think byrons sti put down 358 or 368 whp (corrected) on 23-24 psi and spraying water only. so standing at 328 (corrected) at 22 - 22.5 psi with no water on the stock topmount is pretty decent in my book. i think when i get the couple repaired/replaced and some good strong clamps, travis is goign to end up with a damn consistent and amusing car to get through the winter with, although it might need some snow tires for sure!

on a side note, i would definately have to lean towards severe over fueling as being the potential destructive force with the old block, if we are lucky we got it before it did any damage this time around, def goign to get at least a second oil change post tune.
