Many of you guys know my dad, Nick, and he's been on the site in the past. Whether you agree with things he has posted or not, he is a good man and very knowledgeable and successful in business.
Unfortunately, recently he came down with pneumonia and was having trouble breathing, and when he had come back from NYC we took him directly to the emergency room. While at the emergency room, they gave some some medication for the pneumonia, and some things to help him breathe. While he was on those medications, his heart rate rised to almost 180 bpm, and he had a heart attack. This was Monday, and he's been in the hospital since.
They say he will be there until Sunday at least, and they have been having trouble getting his heart rate down. He also has an irregular heart beat from this, and I think they were going to try some treatment with shocking the heart to return it to a standard beat pattern. This is happening as I am typing this.
This is very upsetting to me, and many of you know that I have a close relationship with my dad, even though we don't agree on many things, including what he posts on here.
I hope that some of you who are still talking about my father on other forums think about things like this and what someone's father can mean to them. I hope he gets better soon. More than likely its going to take 6 months+ for a full recovery.
