Well either way, I personally think a ME is more of a worthy degree then a MET. Your classes are harder, you learn more, your expected to know more. Thats why I went for an ME degree.....

As for the job negotiations, I have had 3 different meetings so far. They dont want to budge on the salary because they dont want to offend other engineers my level that are at near wages. (only 2 that i know of, both have MET degree's)

They did give me a 2.5k starting bonus, and 5 "hush hush" vacation days, because due to policy they cant move my official start date to when I officially started working with the company. So I would have 2 weeks to start, even though its past the half year mark.

Butt at the last meeting, the lady could tell i was still not ready to sign, so she told me if I have other offers, and I still want to work for them, see her again, and she will try to make the offer better. Why would she say that? That just further encourages me to get more offers and come back demanding more money......kinda been a weird situation with lotsa politics involved.
