I do appreciate everyones comments and suggestions. You guys seems to know a lot in this area and have your own good experiences to tell me.

i know the economy is taking a dump, which makes me incredibly nervous, especially in central ny. I dont however think I am making "too big" of a deal abotu this. This is my first job out of school, this is why I busted my ass for 4 years having 0 social life, and this is my future. I think I should go into any job negotiation kicking and screaming. I also know how much the engineering college field has grown, but I would consider myself above most engineering kids, or at least the ones i go to school with. I bust my butt, so I think anything I think I should have, should be negotiable.

On that note, the head of engineering just pulled me into his office, to re-assure me that I really am wanted here, and that they will do whatever they can to get me here. The head of this devision wants to meet with me tomorrow, so I am sure I will get teh same speach. It is really good to know that, but I still think I need to shop around for my own good.
