The scope is a fixed 10 power and it suited to the rifle's range pretty well. The gun shoots sub MOA and can do better as I get better with practice. I don't know how you can tell how accurate your gun is with iron sights at 500 yards since the front post covers the entire target unless you're shooting one of those gigantic targets like they shoot at camp perry.

The gun was built for hunting woodchucks while still being a fun target gun off the bench. It's built from quality parts and shoots great.
ok well i guess that will work if you hunt woodchucks...i figured something like that would be just shooting at a range somewhere.

no the targets we shot a parris island for boot camp at 500yds were actually human size, and the front site post didnt cover the target all you had to was focus on the top of the post and put it at center mass of the target. But I guess I can understand that rifle for woodchucks...what kind of distance are you talking with that rifle?
