Had mine done when I was 17 or 18. They knocked me out, which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Just take the pain meds when they say because that shit hurts even with the meds lol. I had it done on a friday, rested a few days, and then went to school on Monday. Took me about a week to eat anything and a full two to not have pain when chewing. It really isn't aweful. I got lucky and didn't have much swelling, but there was lots of blood for about two days.
