The yami has 3 in / 1 out for hdmi and does hdmi upconvert, so I think it will pass component over hdmi. be sure about that HDMI on the reciever before the purchase. I've run into recievers that dont convert component to HDMI. I have also seen recievers that will only use HDMI for video, where an optical or digital coax is required. I use the Denon 1908's quite a bit and love the way work, it's low on the line and there are plenty more features you can get out of Denon if you need it...
