| Team 607 WRX hits the track :)
On a spur of the moment thing we decided to head to the track this past Wednesday to get a few runs in with the Scooby in hopes up getting into the 12's. The car has been having issues building boost off the line (it's an auto) and the best runs to date were mid 13's. After some tweaking and troubleshooting it looks like the car will not build boost unless it's hot. When cold the car struggles to build 3-5psi... when hot we were seeing about 12psi before the car began to creep. Below is the best run of the night and a video, enjoy! The car is running a VF-34 turbo at right around 20psi. This is not my car... it's my buddy Dan's who is a member of 607. Shawn - I'm not sure what's going on with the car right now... The car traps 106-107 consistently no matter what it runs for time. We were able to squeek out a 109mph on one run which was a 13.6. For some reason the car only seems to build boost off the line when its hot... We could have went higher than 12psi if the brakes would hold it... the car starting to creep. However when the car is cold it has trouble building even 5psi. We are still looking into the issue because it just doesn't make sense to us... I'm not really a huge auto guy so maybe i'm not thinking of something

yeah very decent time... i had run a 13.1 on a vf-22 (bigger turbo) @ 19psi

The ET comes with power. If the car isn't making the power (trap), that's where the potential problem is. I have no idea what that car should really trap but I thought it should be more? Perhaps that's about right as I initially confused it with a 350Z (bigger displacement).

12.9 @ 108 is actually a VERY respectable time for this setup. his boost only building to 12psi off the line when hot however is puzzling, but either way it is a good time/trap for that platform

The car is very strong and pulls hard on bolt on STi's. For reference there were 2 STi's (2004, 2005) at the track the night we ran... both mostly stock besides exhaust, intake etc. Both cars were running 13.5 - 13.7's @ 100-101mph. The Sti's were pulling sub 2.0 60 foot times. The trap speeds for the car seem right on par for what they should be. Anyone have any ideas what the boost building issue might be? It's frustrating the hell out of me... makes no sense
