First of all, always eat breakfast. Even if its just a couple pieces of toast. You need to jump start your metabolism within the first hour of waking up. Otherwise your body will start going into "famine" mode and will start breaking down what is already in your body and whatever you eat for the rest of the day will just sit on you and not really metabolize.

As for an "easy" work out routine...no such thing
you wanna lose weight and get into shape then you have to work at it.
If you want the best way to lose weight within a half hour..run..hard
Portion control on the food is definitely one of the best ways to start dropping pounds.
if you could make it an hour you could spend 3 times/wk at the gym then focus on toning your body and tightening everything rather than building a lot of muscle.
Cardio can easily be incorporated into a weight lifting routine
For example, if i'm working out my arms for the day, i'll work in superset's whenever i can so that i don't get to rest and am constantly moving from one exercise to the next. Superset is basically alternating 2 exercises at one time. Example would be tricep rope pull downs and cable curls. Both can be done on the same machine and if you don't give yourself that chance to slow down you'll notice your heart rate will climb pretty quick giving you that cardio aspect of working out. Just drop the weight down a little and feel that burn in your muscles. Most important, KEEP MOVING, if you're taking time thinking about how much that next set is gonna hurt, you're not working.
This is some of the stuff that has worked for me in the past, you can criticize it if you want but anyone that knew me back in highschool knows i've worked hard just to get where i am and this is some of what i did.
