As I said before though, anyone who is a decent drive could throw a could set of snows on the car and have very little problems. There are many people that drive LS1's and even the LS2 GTO's out in the snow belt year round.

I agree. I should have mentioned that. That's why I am going to a C5 for my next car or a Supra which is outside the buying power of most people that can really abuse it.
The C5 is a great bang-for-buck car too.
