Not a noob sir. But even with the incorrect rotation it does NOT cause all 4 tires to lose traction. I've driven a car (my sisters 00 A4 1.8 Quattro) with low diff fluid down to the dealership I work at to get a service done for her. It can cause some squealing of the tires at higher speed turns (think of driving a truck in a circle with the diff locked) but if you're driving normally even in wet conditions you still get pleanty of grip. Keep the shrewd comments to yourself, there is no need for them on a public forum.
