i have a similar problem with my handycam video files, but my handycam has the built in hard drive so i cant rip it like a dvd, and i dl'd the magic dvd ripper and it says the files i have arent dvd files since they are mpg's already.

edit: i did find some software that converts it into other formats im gonna see if i can edit those.
