302 is a ford... if youre gonna build a motor for it keep it plymouth and build a 360 or 383 for about the same price. The 318 is a truck and dump truck motor, and even though they are all related, the 360 has a ton of potential, the 318 has less - so.
But if you want a 302, I have a 302 longblock downstate that you can buy off me for dirt cheap. Came out of a running 90 Mustang GT that ate a dipstick and kept running. Remember, only in 90 and 91 it came with forged pistons... a desireable year for a 302 buildup.
