similar thing happened to my step-brother. There was an insurance lapse about a year ago. It was taken care of and he has been paying insurance ever since then. Then he gets pulled over for an uninsured, unregistered car without him having any clue that his car was either (so he says).

I'm sure you'll be fine.... and DON'T sell it!
