that sucks man, i had a friend get hit for similar reasons, insurance lapse when he moved back to NY, only like 2 days because his company cut the policy the second they found out he moved, and his registration and license got suspended
he had no issues going to the DMV getting everything taken care of, because like you, he had addressed the issues with fines and proof of insurance when everything happened originally, DMV just never took care of the paper work
hit up the dmv, and you should be able to get everything but the speeding ticket tossed without any issues, and hopefully be back on your way enjoying the duece
