I have never run an off the shelf map from Cobb. I have only been protuned with my AP. As a matter of fact I am very disappointed with Cobb because they built their base map for the '04 STi off the earilest (1st) version ECU ROM. Subaru revised it twice for the '04 STi. They should have updated their basemap when Subaru did. I think that old basemap is causing the CEL's I keep getting. That's why I'll be kicking my cobb to the curb next weekend. I'm flying my friend Dominic (who built my motor) out here from WA. to tune my car with open source.
One more thing, I've been on 5 different dyno's. The numbers are all over the place. I agree the numbers you guys actually put down seem pretty f'ed up, but honestly, quoting corrected numbers just doesn't sit right with me.
For the record my car made:
Dynomite-440 hp/480tq (cobb protune)
Dynojet- 450hp/493tq (cobb protune)
Mustang-350hp/380tq (Dominic opensource tune same mods)
So...what was the % correction on the mustang? who knows...it wasn't the same tune.
Needless to say I'm looking at the numbers and thinking the MR is making almost 500 dynojet WHP with:
meth
o2 housing
3" turbo-back exhaust
open element k&n filter
255lph fuel pump
forge mbc @ 30psi
forge wga
