Concur with you both.
My problem is that I find it a bit annoying that some people (shops too) say you "have to have it". No you don't. I don't even have coolant lines and I've had 3 sets of turbos without issues and I beat the snot out of my car.
It costs money, it's more headaches with wiring, and it's a cost not needed if you can easily form a habit if you learn to not boost when you know your going to be shutting the car off (Driving near your house; on your way home) and sitting in the car for a minute or two afterwards.
