I was at Hannaford getting a salad for lunch the other day... I'm at the register and an old couple is in front of me. I watch this old man try and get his wallet out of his pocket. His hands are shaking violetly the entire time, he can barely move or walk. Definately someone that should be in a home or haves omeone help him. His wife, I assume, who is just as old, had to take his wallet out of his pocket for him.
I pay, and go to leave, and see him getting in the drivers seat of his buick. I sit and watch. He's so weak that he cant turn the key to start the car. He gets out and opens the hood and stares at the motor. At this point, I left.
I'm not going to descriminate and say that old people shouldn't drive, because some are very healthy. I think their doctors should evaluate them regularly and submit a form to the DMV if they feel the person is not in the conditoon to be operating a motor vehicle.
