What cars have rear airbag sensors? Airbags are to stop forward movement in a front-end collision. You're only protection in a rear-end collision is the seat and headrest.

For the record, Jeremy's airbags did not deploy, though he was hit at about a dead stop by a rapist van doing 40mph. So the rear is pretty crunched. Folded trunk floor, etc. He finds out this weekend if it's a goner.
