Yeah, a 750 is definitely a lot of bike to start with. You've got to make sure you're head is on straight and well-connected to your right hand
With that said, Schema, who is on here, started with an R1.
The YZF600R that I started on was a great bike. It had plenty of power, handled ok, but was ugly as fuck.
