GT42R project underway

ok well ive come to a tough decision. i figure my car will be down for a while for all the chassis prep for 135+ and rebuilding both of my transmissions, so im gonna take that time to build my car to be competative in nhra's sport front wheel drive race series. it will likely be down until next spring because of this.

all of the turbo system im running right now will become obsolete with the new turbo. and is for sale. complete turbo kit with gt35r, $3000 obo if you know anyone intersted. includes all piping couplers, turbo, mani, dp, oil and coolant lines, bov, WG whole kit.

heres a list of a few things planned during the upgrade first few are required for nhra:

-upgrading to 10pt cage
-install parachute
-scatter shield
-catch pan
-battery cut off switch
-sumped fuel system with 2x bosch 044 fuel pumps, -10 line to rail, 4x 1600cc injectors, likely an injector driver box
-finish catch can setup
-still deciding on cams, might just be a type r intake cam with my gsr exhaust, might do some testing on other cams.
-upgrading from my crower springs/retainers to a set of supertechs still undecided on spring rate, the "streetable" rate, and then one not so streetable
-5 bar map sensor
-dss axles still unsure on stage
-im checking with exedy about the holding capacity of the clutch they say only 500 ftlbs at the crank on their website.
-4" downpipe and aluminum exhaust
-3" charge piping
-manifold design is still up in the air i want to do a front mount style manifold similar to erics itr hatch, but due to the sheer size of the 42r it creates a lot of fitment issues, for the turbo itself as well as an intercooler(air/water isnt allowed for sfwd class) also need to fit in 2x 44mm wastegates somewhere in there. this manifold would give all the advantages of the hot rod style manifolds and still keep the air/air intercooler
-divided housing gt4294r, a/r is still being decided

goal for the car is to hit low - mid 800's, and try to get the car into the mid 9 second range @ around 160mph give or take. all in sfwd trim, no wheelie bars, full interior, no lexan or anything like that. comments, criticism appreciated.

just a couple comparison pics i found online

35r vs 42r
