Excellent point about the annealing
I took many material science courses for my degree, so I get what you're saying. I do have a great heat gun, and I have excellent patience... throw in my type-A personality and I think it'll turn out well.
I figure this is a good chance to learn on my leased Mazda before I move on to my future vehicles.
