Well I signed up on this site a long time ago. It was another website to look at while being laid up from my an accident.
I am using the same screen name as SFX so some of you may know me.
For those who dont here is my info.
Name is Scott, I was a distant member of the CFM guys. I moved back to Rochester from Chicago over Labor Day weekend. I used to be a Calibration Engineer for International Truck and Engine. I left that job to come back to Rochester and go back to school fulltime.
If you need help or questions about working on your car, I maybe able to help you out. I have spent the past 10 years in the automotive engineering field so if I dont have the answer I may know some people that can get them for you.
I used to ride bikes but as some of you know I was in a accident where I almost lost my life. But instead I was not able to walk for 3 1/2 months and spent sometime in a hospital and Nursing/Rehab Home. But I am still working on getting better everyday.
List of what I broke: both hands, both legs - right leg both bones came out of the skin, and the left just broke on of the bone and it didnt break the skin, 2 ribs, dislocated right shoulder with a turn rotator cuff and also broke my neck. After four surgerys, 3 plates and 26 screws in my legs, then 2 in my shoulder I was put all back together.
My bike riding has been put on hold till I can safely operate a motorcycle but I am still limited on some body part movements.
So I bought a 1969 Chevelle to get me into trouble. My plans for it this winter is a 454, brakes, wheels and suspension upgrades. Along with some interior work. Then in a few years I am going to do a frame of restore on it. It may look good in the pics but when you get close to it. Its not so good.
I hope this is a good intro for you.
Looking forward to talking to all of you.
Scott
