2008 Toyota Supra
On Sale : Unconfirmed
These photos were Japanese interpretations of the next-gen Supra. Toyota is currently testing a supercar in the $100,000 range. Technology from this car may pass down to a future Supra, which may receive anything from a boosted V6 to a V8, or even a hybrid in its top form. Toyota has no comment, but the Supra nameplate will be back.
Like I mentioned, I have heard a lot about a new Supra, but even with what you posted they aren't really any closer to one. Sure they have nifty drawings of one, but in that paragraph they have no idea what the car will look like nevermind what kind of motor. The first sentance says it all, "Japanese interpretations"....then they go on to mention the motor can be anything from a boosted 6 to a V8.....they aren't any closer than they were months and months ago.

I bet that is the 100k+ supercar they talk about in the paragraph that you posted. If that is the future Supra concept, Supra lovers are in for a surprise....you think they are expensive now....

The supra that will come to the US will be around 100K, but its not that exotic one that Erik posted.

that really sux. the 3 cars of the supra gen were 300z, Rx7 and the supra, they came back out w/ the other 2 decently priced, thats what toyota needs to do.

I agree, I think Toyota is really outpricing their market.

I second that. They should put the same motor into the new body style. That was a solid engine. I mean come on, if I am going to spend 100K on a car, I am not going to buy a Supra. I am going to go out and look for the new Viper Coupe, or the new C6 Z06, not the Supra. Just my opinion though.
