I hope you don't plan on getting much respect from these guys here. Everyone loves picking on domestics, so get used to it. :P
We are simply in a JDM, Euro tuner period. I understand that people appreciate none domestic cars as I do too. Though I dont understand the need to constantly put them down and make the owners feel like poop just cause its not what some one wants to own. I own all domestic vehichles not becuse their better but for many other more simple reasons. Any way I guess what im trying to say is its just so hurtfull the way people put down domestics. Ive seen it alot latly not only on this site but on a couple others. Well hopefully I feel better after that . Thanks for coming ouit and hope to see yea all again soon! [/end rant]

I don't mind GM products. I own one.

I do mind the horrendous quality with which GM produces vehicles. I recently had a chance to revamp a friend's entire suspension on his 2000 Trans Am. STAMPED STEEL CONTROL ARMS? I could bend these with my hands. Is GM that broke of a company that they had to cost-cut even suspension components?
F-body?? Are they that cheap of a company that they had to continue to use a platform (along side ford) that dated from the late 70's?
Interior quality?? Do they not realize that their interior quality alone has coined the phrase "GM Interior"?? Buzzy, rattling, non ergonomic, cheap plastic looking, lack of headroom in a cockpit shaped for something other than your average human.
Lots of other things on that list. Lack of good corrosion control. Fit and Finish comes apart soon after the vehicle is new. Durability of parts is in question. The styling looks like a 5 year old's concept of a sportscar, but drawn with a crayon.

Don't get me wrong. I know they're capable as a company and their funding base is immense...

which is why i laugh when i see companies making a FRACTION of what GM grosses per year (like Subaru), producing quality vehicles with well thought out and engineered components.
GM to me is synonymous with backyard engineering, which is flipped considering they're one of the world's largest automakers.
