Subaru Depreciation??

Mike and other subie owners....how quickly do subaru's depreciate? I really like the new LGT Sedans so I am thinking that could be a compromise for my next car since it has decent power and will be good in the winter as well.

not that drastically. because of the popularity, they seem to be holding their value fairly well. A decent 02 wrx is going for about 10-12k, down from 23k over 4 years, which isn't bad at all. A legacy kept in good condition should hold its value better because of the genre of people its targeted at.

Hmmm. I wonder how much of a break they are giving on leftovers. I may seriously consider looking into one when I want to replace the S40, I like them a lot.

i noticed the legacys depreciate MUCH faster than imprezas, at least for the previous generation ones.

subies are okay on depreciation. nothing great. then again that works to your advantage to getting ahold of one.

Are you talking about the newer legacys? they've only been around for a little bit, and they seemed to be doing ok.

the imprezas seem to hold their value reasonably well - especially the GC chassis. As soon as the STi came out, a ton of the bug-eye wrx owners ditched theirs for the newer model. If you look online, you'll realize you can get a WRX for close to the same price as a 00-01 2.5RS

Yea, I have noticed that they are going for around 21-24k used right now. I am hoping they will drop a decent bit more now that the Spec B is in the states.

I called it that at a dealership and they looked at me retarded. They only know spec-B. If I wanted another car payment on a rare car I'd feel bad driving every day, I'd so trade my STi in on one.
