Phase 5 Cobalt SS

I just bought one of those car and driver tear off calanders and noticed that January 4th's was a 2005 Phase 5 Cobalt SS. It has 535hp and does the quarter in less than 10 seconds. Not too bad of numbers.

bullshit.
I SERIOUSLY doubt Car and Driver would produce probably millions of these calanders and lie about it. I read it right off the little blurb below the picture. Gotta love how people assume since its a GM car it isn't a capable vehicle.

You can find more information here:
http://www.gm.com/company/gmtunersource/html/home.htm

There is a ton of info on the phase 5 cobalt

Well like I said, I am only going by what I read, not what I was guessing it would run and I doubt they would lie about the car running better than 10's in millions of calendar's, especially when it is documented on the web on a site through GM.

1.) I don't see any info on the Phase 5.
2.) You assumed, not me. I said nothing about GM.

and
3.) unless it's a prepped racecar weighing under 2500lbs with driver, and is producing at LEAST 500whp, it is not going under 10 seconds.

in which case

Phase 5 means absolutely nothing to street drivers other than "Uselessly Powerful"

I don't see why a car with 535hp and weighing less than 2800 pounds can't run 11's. I just threw those numbers into a calculater and it comes out around 10.7. Now granted those calculators aren't 100% accurate, but they are close enough to get an idea.

And you know this because.....

I am not saying that you are wrong, its just weird that they would publish a car and driver calendar that says it is well into the 10's if its not even close.

Yea I agree, it should probably be FWD too just to eliminate as many variables as possible.
