He could build a pretty effing nice 1995 Nissan 240SX SE for $17.5k.

Car- $7000.
Motor (SR20DET is most common) - $2500.
Wheels, tires, suspension - $3000 easily.
Other stuff, performance or cosmetic - Rest of money.

That'd be the hot rod setup IMO.
Do all that before spring/summer, then save up for a $500 winter beater and $400 snow tires and call it a day.

There's a ton of possibilites on where you wanna throw your money. If you want an entry level 'luxury' car, check out a used Lexus IS300.

You could also buy a pretty effin good E36 (95-99 I believe) BMW M3 for that price.

Use your imagination dude. The only limit is your wallet.

When you're ready to mod whatever car you get, remember to come on down to JVG Motorsports and we'll talk more.
unfortunately its QUITE hard to find a 240sx

You just gotta be willing to travel if you wanna find a good one. Trust me on that one.

Check www.club240.com and www.nicoclub.com . eBay works too.

and then you can be like everyone else!

As talked about in some other thread, the WRX/STi seems to be the new civic and I am not a huge fan of that.

name a better car for the money that you can drive safely all year and run 13s

most of these suggestions are very impractical.
