Why not get the 9-2X? Better looking IMO and you don't see very many of them around at all. Another suggestion from me is an LGT. They are MUCH better looking cars than a WRX/STi IMO. I test drove a Spec B and was pretty impressed with the car. You can probably pick up a non-limited GT for around $18k.

they just came out in 2005, so good luck finding one in his price range

RWD sports car with snows is a good idea

I honestly don't think the overall maintenance costs of a vette are much more, if at all, than these imports you guys are mentioning. Why not ask Centola, his dad had a C5. I never said a RWD sports car in the snow is a great idea, but a good driver can EASILY manage with a good set of snow tires.

well im gonna take eric's car for a testdrive hopefully and see what i think but really i dont know if im gonna end up keeping the saab or not. it will last me till september and maybe ill have some more money by then and im gonna want to get a bike too for AZ. i guess im just gonna have to wait a few days and see what happens but thanks for all the ideas.

thats pretty much my point.... they are kinda rare. your examples are in texas and in Mass. You could do that or go to the dealership down the corner and pick from 5 used wrxs or look in the want ad digest and look through pages of them.
