Accord question.
Hey i have a quick question, what gen would be the best to get to do a h22 swap? and what gen would be the easiest? (90-93 or 94-97) also, i cant seem to find a lip kit for either gen, im just an idiot and dont look in the right place. im contemplating between a civic with an ls swap or an accord with a h22 swap. any opinions on that? sry to be such a pain hah

If you haven't bought one yet, don't. Especially if you plan on going fast or quick or something which, if you're swapping motors, you seem to want to do. Stick w/ Civics and a B-series swap. Fun times, cheaper times.

yeh but i love the body styling and h22's are fast and accords are too, and its alot less work to do a h22 swap to a accord, plus i dont have the space to do a long time swap liek swapping into a civic, cause id need a garage.. i live in a trailer park rofl. and id need to do the swap in liek a day or 2 .

B-series swaps can be done within the day if all parts are there. There's equal amount of work to do either swap. Accords are pretty slow though. Even with an H22, you'd be lucky to hit 14's. GSR'd EG hatches easily hit 14's all day long.

Guy i know has a JDM H22 swapped into a 95 civic coupe. It's also turbocharged. It's fun, but H22's in civics leave a major achilles heel: the cooling system. You're running a very small radiator to make room for the headers onboard. If you plan on using this vehicle for more than just the quick occasional roll-on, you should be willing to tackle a redesign of the cooling system or choose a different powerplant.
With all the options available, why a civic? If you don't have space or time to do more than 24 hours' work, save your cash and buy something that has what you want from the beginning, like a 95 GSR.

i wanna do a honda or an integra, more or less because im broke lol and am running on a short budget and if i had the money id get a SE-R Spec V.. cause i LOVE them. but sicne im broke and am trying to get into the jdm scene being as i owned a cavalier. and parts for hondas / acuras are alot cheaper then some cars. i dunno and i liek the styling of them. the stock look with flat black rims a lip kit and slammed. it looks sexy <3 lol

i'd say stay away from civics, but its only cause i hate them. it has nothing to do with my views on engines or swaps, thus making this comment fairly pointless

Just be aware that you're going to spend several thousand on an engine swap, regardless of brand name. You not only need the motor and trans, you need any other conversion parts, knowledge of wiring it up and plan on replacing a bunch of stuff while the motor's out.
It's not unreasonable to assume at least 3-4k. At that point, you could be in just about any other platform.

Just get all the parts ready, a few friends, the right tools, and you could have that engine in there and ready to move within a weekend, easily. If you wanna do affordable, do just an LS (B18A/B) into a Civic for now, then when you got another free weekend, swap on a B16A head to do the LS/VTEC swap and you'll be making decent torque and power, and it's cheaper than a GSR motor.
