Whats up with trucks/SUVS with cardboard in their Grill?

Lately i've been seeing more and more of trucks with cardboard taped over or stuffed into the grill of their trucks or SUV's. Wheither its a chevy, dodge, nissan or even toyota.

I assume there is a reason for that, but wtf is it i do not know.

Any clues?

Just curious its been bugging me.

most people dont put the cardboard on because their trucks dont run well they do it so they get heat faster int he winter as the radiater does not disipate the heat as quickly when blocked. Diesels just run better whent hey are good and warm and with sub zero temps those big radiators just do too darn good a job. and no I dont use cardboard on my truck my grill cover does the job lol.

It doesn't just help diesels, it helps ALL vehicles get heat quicker. Air can only come out of something if air is going in, therefore if no air is going in, none can come out, thus keeping the warm air in the cooling system and making the vehicle warm up faster.
