My intake system is constantly under pressure, even at idle... When it see's me let off the gas, it pops the BOV open and releases the pressure that is always there regardless of how hard I'm on it...

Shawn96VR-4 is an unknown quantity at this point

Your car has some problems then. You should have no boost at idle.

if it "blows off" while the car is in vacuum, does that mean the air actually get sucked back in? making it a suck off valve?

You actually put "suck off" into a post. Amazing.

my boost gauge reads -20psi at idle... when I pop out my IAT sensor out from the cold side FMIC pipe, it blows air in my face at idle.

Interesting, considering negative psi isn't an actual unit of measurement.
I'd hope it would read -20 inHg.

When the compressor blades move more air volume than the engine can ingest, it stacks up, changes density and becomes pressurized. Until that point, it's just fast moving air, much like a tabletop fan on your desk would create.

i stand corrected

why is there a decent amount of air blowing out of that IAT sensor opening at idle then?

Same reason there's a ton of air blowing out of my intake tubing at idle when I disconnect it. Just lots of fast moving air being pushed along by the compressor. If you pop off the intake pipe, take a look at how fast that wheel spins at idle.

ah, well, thats what i hear when i let off the gas... any way to change that so the BOV doesn't open unless there is pressure that needs to be released?
