Looking into an STI.. I know theres a bunch of you on here
I'm thinking of selling off 2 of my cars and picking up something new. Will the dealers move at all on the price of these cars if they have been sitting on the lot for a while? Also what is your insurance like? I'm 26 and I'm pretty sure all my tickets are off of my license.

I think your best bet for getting a good price on an STI is to email all of the dealers and tell them you're looking for the best price on a new STI. A while back there was a dealer letting em go for a couple grand below invoice.
Expect to pay on the high end for insurance. A lot of kids wreck their STI the first week they have it. I'm 30 with 2 points on my license and pay ~2600/yr for full coverage. But my insurance is kinda borked because my license was expired for a while and I had to take my drivers test over again in '04.
Good luck with the STI. Pick up an 07 before the ugly 08 models are on the showroom floors...

wow, i thought my insurance was bad... i pay 2100/yr fo rthe srt-4... they quoted me the same on an STI and an EVO, give or take a few bucks
24 y/o no accidents, 3 tickets on my record, none in 3 years, no points. Just got my license back in september after not having one at all for 2 years, and a total of not being legally allowed to drive for 4 1/2. (suspended for 2 1/2 prior to the revokation)

I wouldn't plan on them moving much on the price unless maybe it was a demo or something, and in that case stay far away. I don't think a dealership would allow a sti to be a demo car anyway, so you probably won't have to worry about that.
I'm actually about to switch insurance companies so I've been doing some shopping around recently. Gieco and Progressive both gave me quotes around $1300 a year. I'm 27, 2 points on license, and 1 no at fault accident.

NO ONE can answer that question. Get a VIN and call around and get quotes. Take your 6 hour driving course too.
I pay $1500 for my VR-4 and brand new SUV with $500 deductible through GEICO w/o my 6 hour. I been stalling on that. I am also 28 years old.
Soo many variables are involved in their pricing algorithm.
However, I can say that if your under 25 and want to ensure a new car thats sporty. You're going to pay out of your ass.

~210/month insurance wise for the STi and such... they will move on used car prices but new ones they are pretty rock solid on... just shop around.

damnit mike, you beat me to the STi/civic comment
I'm 25, clean record, with an 03 evo and 01 dakota, full coverage for both from Allstate for 12XX/year. Before I was 25 it was only around 14XX/year.
