whats up guys and girls =] i just picked up an 05 sti and im havin some problems. i put on a catless exhaust up pipe down pipe the whole 9 and a short ram intake at first i was throwin several codes for sensor 2 shot and lean in bank 1 i was told i needed to buy a resistor for the down stream o2 sensor to act as an eliminator because they were false codes i cleared the codes and the only code that came back on was bank 1 lean i have no idea what else to do im lost and sad and cant drive the car cuz i dont wanna roast the sensor as subaru is out of stock and there $130 a piece anyone have any suggestions? thanks
remove the short ram intake as its only causing you problems. it could be the entire cause of your lean condition as aftermarket intakes change the tune and needs maf scaling adjustments to compensate. if you need any other parts let me know as im parting mine out.
Remove the intake, and do a complete ECU reset (disconnect the battery cables and pump the brakes). That should get rid of the lean code, but you'll throw at least one more CEL from running catless. The first thing you should do is get the car tuned... at least Cobb Stage 2.

ok so after reading a review on the cobb setup i have 3 questions can i use the stage 1 with my setup (ATS exhaust) is the cobb year specific or can i get one from like say 04 to 07 and can i get one used or are they "married" to the ecu once its hooked up?

The cobbs are somewhat year specific and are married to the ECU that I know of. We have some Non-Foulers at the shop that back the Sensor out of the exhaust a little to cut down the number of codes you throw. DA King is using some on his Catless Invidia Turbo Back. We can reset you code as well

Congrats on the new car. CobbTuning.com - Home Page will answer your questions about the Accessport, but basically stock uses the stage 1 map and when you have a TBE you use the stage 2 map. If you buy a used one just make sure the previous owner unmarried it from their car.

the lean code is from your intake. not your exhaust. The non-fouler should take care of the o2 code. Removing the intake will take care of the other. The only time you need to run an intake on a Subaru is if you have to because you used the space for a FMIC pipe. Otherwise stock airbox and a clean filter will be your best bet.
