As some of you may know and some others may have seen in the Classifieds section, my MR2's up for sale.
Had an incident on Saturday night where she met a guardrail and crunched the entire driver's side. While the damage is certainly fixable, I'm just at the point where I've had all I can take from this car. Everything I've been through with it and all the effort, time and money I've invested have managed to result in a vehicle that seems to end up finding or causing another problem that keeps me strung out. It's simply not meant for me.
I don't know where this will lead me. She's been my project and my heart and soul for almost 7 years. I've had some of the happiest times in my life with that car. I hope whoever takes hold of it will treat her with the same care and love I"ve given her. I hope I can find something else that I will be able to enjoy, becuase modifying cars is a passion I just can't shake.
For now, I have the Saturn as my daily driver and for some mild performance. I've got a few leads on the MR2 already, as I will be selling her with the factory service manuals, a copy of Toyota's electronic parts catalog and several other goodies, to help the next owner keep her maintained.
I've enjoyed being part of this community and getting to know you all. It's been a wonderful experience being an enthusiast and despite what's happened, it really has been rewarding. I just wish I could have seen her run as I'd built and intended her to do. I suppose the most important part is that I did get to enjoy her as a complete, running vehicle, even if only for a short time. That's life, I guess.
Big thanks go to Dan Cech for his invaluable assistance and hard work on this project. I could not have done it without him.
I also thank Jesse Clark for being there with me, to see her and enjoy a last few minutes with her

Good lookin' out.
All that's left now is to wait and hope. I'm sure the future will bring something equally special.
