Took the ram to the track yesterday...

So I decided to bring my Ram to the track yesterday to see how she runs, and also to do a true test on the programmer to see the difference. Here were the outcomes (i have the time slips, but dont feel like scanning them at the moment). The programmer was the Superchips. The truck is a 1500 w/ 5.9L 360, 3.55 gears w/ 34.5" Nitto Terra Grapplers. 46RE transmission. It has an Edelbrock 14" round filter w/ the cheap filter it comes with. I have a magnaflow 3" high flow cat to the Gibson sport side exhaust (in front of the tire). Other than that, its stock. All was done on about 91 octane (I had 1/4 tank of 87, and filled up using 93... so 91 is an estimation)

Run 1: Programmer set on fuel economy (figured it would be close to stock)
reaction time--.283s.
60 foot time---2.63s.
330 foot time--7.531s.
1/8 MPH-------61.55mph
1/8 Mile-------11.508s.
1000 foot------14.953s.
1/4 MPH-------77.68mph
1/4 Mile-------17.853s.

Run 2: Programmer set to Performance
reaction time--.252s.
60 foot time---2.526s.
330 foot time--7.132s.
1/8 MPH-------63.27mph
1/8 Mile-------11.010s.
1000 foot------14.369s.
1/4 MPH-------79.35mph
1/4 Mile-------17.209s.

Run 3: Programmer set to Towing Performance
reaction time--.249s
60 foot time---2.525s.
330 foot time--7.272s.
1/8 MPH-------63.00mph
1/8 Mile-------11.165s.
1000 foot------14.530s.
1/4 MPH-------79.33mph
1/4 Mile-------17.370s.

I was going to run my 4th run in 4H, but at the last second (pulling up to the line) I remember that I am currently running 2 different size tires... thank god I remembered or that would have been a big mess . So I ended up just running another performance, but my foot slipped off the gas half way down trying to push it so hard.. lol. That run ended up being a 17.508. I was however very happy with my .139 reaction time!!! lol Either way, the programmer did surprise me. Over 1/2 a second taken off is quite a big jump. I am a little dissappointed on the overall time, but I also wasnt sure exactly what to expect from her either.
Sorry for the long post.

kenny

Oh yea almost forgot... I finally got the rear tires to spin!!!! lol.

decent times kenny.. you don't have a turbo so it's not like you can really be seeing anything low then the 16's without some heavy mods

i really have to get some new gears. The 3.55 are killing my low end. I gotta get some 4.10's in there sometime soon... which will also help w/ towing my jeep a great deal. I may go 4.56, but due to mpg, probably not... lol

Shawn96VR-4 is an unknown quantity at this point

Awesome R/T. 1/2 second of ET and almost 2MPH trap is a HUGE gain.

anyone have a basic idea of what the hp/tq gain might be between teh 2? I know that there are a ton of factors, but just an estimate would be nice.
Thanks
