Hah. I think that has been used for WRX/DSM/3000GT and a ton of other cars. You will see that for other cars as they become older and drop in price.

I have found that the less I drive my car, the less problems I have...

ive found the opposite. didn't drive the mr2 much last year and it gave me more problems then this year when ive been driving it a bunch.

Hah. I think it's a combination of AWD, older cars, and expensive repairs.

BTW, when those cars were in production, Chevy had the C4 which was put together with glue and intentionally made to creak/crack and Ford had the Mustang which I am convinced they intentionally tried to get the lowest amount of power out of the most displacement. They did a good job too.
