Broken timing belt in teh bimmer...

well, driving in new hartford the other night, doin 45 in 5th gear, my car suddenly lost all power, and i could hear valves...not good. i assumed timing belt, and was hoping i shut her down before too much happend...i was wrong. i have no compression in 4 out of 6 cylinders, meaning MANY bent valves, and a broken rocker arm where the valve got bitchslapped by the piston...i haven't pulled the head yet, but i'm dreading what happend to the pistons...keep ya posted

Wow! broken rocker arm sucks! I just had my belt break on my e30 a few weeks ago. I have been building the top end. I picked up a head from garys u-pull it in binghamton. cost me 25 bucks.

Hopefully your pistons wont be to bad.
