The anti surge housing is just some of the tech into these turbochargers. Garrett has their own design too as well as just about every other turbocharger manufacturer on the market. It just allows air to bypass the compressor inducer and avoid surge at low volume intake. Allows you to run a larger turbocharger compressor without surge at low rpms.

Currently they are offered only as a dry housing setup with few options. You can buy them wet CHRA, and as stated, I'm working on trying to get some information regarding divided housings for those running tuned twin scroll setups.

They're more expensive than comparable GT turbos from Garrett I've been a supported of Turbonetics over Garrett since day one with performance and durability in mind. The extra cost is going to be justified.

PM on the way for some specs I need from you. I'll also need some techy info on a stock pulley for your car so I can design the newer one to drop your blower CFM's down to reasonable levels.

tell me some other things. how long does it take to "burn it" and stop smelling like im on fire and stuff? how long does it last on the car? i'm getting the downpipes wrapped, but not too far down so they dont get wet all the time. it seems to deteriorate fast if u get it wet all the time daily driving.

Keep it dry and it'll last for years. Burn in typically takes a good day of driving to cook the composite and burn off any epoxy the wrap may have.

Some people soak and wet wrap the stuff but I prefer to just do it dry and pull the wrap very tight. Use the proper stainless ties to secure it, or a good stainless hose clamp at the least. DEI sells the stainless ties, JVG I think has them in stock IIRC.

I've never had a wrap last more than a couple years in good condition. If you're looking for that type of long term durability, ceramic is you're only answer.

Oh yea you can get 2 years out of it. After about that time, the fiberglass gets brittle and starts to fall apart from drivetrain vibrations, loosens, and starts to fall off.

There are a couple companies that make some composite(FG kevlar) wrap that last much longer, but they're triple the price and at that point you're better off paying for ceramic.
