Well I know Porsche didn't give anyone rights to reproduce them, but that certainly doesn't stop people from doing so anyway

Glad you were able to find it so cheap... guess I'm just always extremely wary when someone is selling something worth so much more for so little.

It's funny you mention that it doesn't stop people from still producing them but actually Porsche does themselves and goes to GREAT lengths to do so to protect their rights as an entity with exclusivity.

.....Bavarian Rocket Scientists for example. Porsche has specific "laws" for lack of a better term on regulating who can actually declare and advertise themselves as a certified/authorized Porsche repair facility. BVR did just that and in fact were not. When a "local place" that will remain unnamed found out about this and reported it to PCNA, there were police escorted lawyers at BVR the following day where they proceeded to confisgate all official Porsche advertisement/livery and handed BVR a court order basically saying they were cease and desist their current actions claiming to be an authorized Porsche facility or face immediate legal action from Porsche.

Getty Design is one of a handful of places that have a legal contract with PCNA for reproduction It's one reason why their body components, hoods, and wings/decklids fit with flawless perfection.

This is just one of many times Porsche has gone out of their way to delegate who is/are authorized for such work and/or reproduction.

Do you really think there are 0 people out there selling knock off Porsche parts? Come on now... I don't care how great of lengths Porsche goes to protect their rights, it still happens is all I'm saying. There are many, many, MANY people that make knock off parts, trust me.
