Remote Car Starters/Alarms

Have any of you guys installed your own remote car starters/alarms or helped someone do it. Sometime in the future Missie may be getting one for her car and I would rather not pay an arm and a leg to have it installed.

I wouldn't think it would be that hard, but I could be wrong.

i did the alarm on my car myself which included keyless entry and remote trunk release. it was a whore to do, just cause theres a crapload of wires and relays to run

its not an arm and a leg to have it installed. Just go talk to mark at east coast audio, and he'll be able to do something reasonable for you.

i've done it before... and i hate doing it only b/c they are so easy to f up and very easy to mess with yours cars computer and really f up

yeah they're a huge pain in the ass. like i said, just bring it to mark

yea mark will be good for it.. the only place i would trust to do it is ECA and audio obbsessions

i drove around for 2 days with so many wires hanging out of the bottom of the dash i had to look down and feed my feet through them to get to the pedals

Would it be best to purchase one through them too or just have them install whatever one she ends up getting?

Any rough idea on price for an install?

It would end up being a better deal if you got the remote start alarm through them. It can be pretty cheap or very expensive depending on the model, features, etc. I would just call mark.
