New Head unit
This is the new head unit I am getting next week.
 It's the Alpine CDA-9851 which will connect to this  The Alpine KCA-420i which will allow you to navigate your ipod through the receiver instead of the ipod, it also charges the ipod battery while it is plugged in. I am really excited b/c I was told by people on the dodgeforums that the Kicker livin loud system is way more powerful with an aftermarket head unit. Woohoo.

looks good... i think thats the one model right under mine... mine comes with the Ipod plug in built into the end unit to allow it to be controlled and charged while pluged in... very nice pick up tho.. i love alpine decks

Thats a nice looking unit. I love Alpine units too, right now I am running the Alpine 9815 and am very happy with it.

If that is the model under yours than you have the touch slide bar instead of the channel buttons. That additional box allows for controll with the unit and not the ipod and it charges also.

yea the slide is nice.. i don't have that model it was released in 05... i have the top model from 04 it's the CDA- 9835.. i think.. i havn't looked at it in like 6 months since i got rid of my old car and i can't put it in the new one yet... anyway you'll love the deck.. alpines rock.. and install on your car is real easy

it might have a few new features to it stock but the best part of my deck hat mark told me was it is actually upgradeable... i can actually keep updating the software to it for about 2 years which means it stays up to date incase something big comes out... i havn't upgraded it yet tho and doubt i will but it's a cool little feature... i just really like mine cause it has a full picture display
