I just watched a vid of the Gran Turismo 5 prologue. From what i have read and seen in this video. There is no damage, no custimization and 50 cars. Sounds like a ripping fun game. There will be nothing more fun that playing online and having an opponent hit you in a corner doing 150 mph and coming out of it unharmed to win a race. Sounds like fun.

the "prologue" games are just a larger demo type game and not the whole thing. They made a GT4 prologue game too that came out before the actual GT4 game was released. Seems GT5 is following in the same footsteps as GT4. GT4 was delayed so much that they released the prologue version to keep people semi busy until the real thing came out. GT5 has the GTHD demo on ps3 and now this prologue version. Pretty lame if you ask me.

yeah especially for $39.99. I guess the reason why there is no damage is because they get alot of there car licenses for free in exchange for advertisement in these games. Seeing how they didnt pay for the License the car companies can request alot more than they can if they had the license just outright paid for. So they basically didnt want damage on their vehicles. IDK IMO that is not sim at all. Especially when Forza has VERY realistic damage and just as many car manufacturers as GT games.

Although damage would be pretty cool to include, it has never really been part of the GT series, so I don't have a huge problem with it. The game still looks awesome and I am sure that tons of people will get it and love it.

One question that has still gone unanswered, is what is so good about XBL that makes everyone have wet dreams over it? I got to play COD4 online this past weekend and PS3's system seems pretty decent. You still get ranks and whatnot, you get a friends list, you can see what games those friends are playing, there is text messaging that even pops up while playing a game, etc.... (and thats just after using the interface for like 30 minutes so there could be lots more)

GT5 looking awesome has nothing to do with anything. Im over looking at nice graphics. I like smooth, realistic gameplay. Hitting a wall doing 200mph and bouncing off and still going is not realistic to me. Its fine if were talking about Need for Speed but not a game that is supposed to be a driving simulator. And like I said I see no sign of any customization once again. Thats another thing i look for in a game, this game has none. Maybe you can change your rims and do a car wash like in the other GT games. wow!

Xbox live has a way better format in thier Dashboard setup. ALL OF THERE GAMES run 100% perfect with zero lag, that imo is worth the $50 a year

yeah xbox live runs great, and the ability to play pretty much every game, including the arcade games online is a great feature... achievements are a big part of it too, and definitely the fact that there are more people on live in general, you have less of a chance of not finding an online game...
