lost sound
Well I have sound on my computer, but some things on websites dont play anymore.
Like sound on videos, songs on myspace. I think I lost a plug in. I also went to my tool bar, clicked on the speaker, it told me there are no active mixer devices avalible. I have windows XP, thanks guys!

Check Device Manager and see if any of the drivers are missing or have conflicts.

yeah, also find out what sound card you have and try to reinstall the drivers

I would do a reinstall on the sound drivers that will reset your sound device setting usually.

I would try and reinstall the drivers for the sound card first.

Actually, to tell you the truth, the best thing to do would be first remove the drivers, and find some way of replacing them with the same drivers.
