I can see a car turning you on, but a computer? not a chance.

If I were to buy a computer based on looks than I would def get an apple. too much time and money spent on cosmetic BS. The cost of their products reflect that too, boooo!

There are so many subtleties with both the hardware and Leopard that are so far beyond anything that PC manufacturers or microsoft are doing...

There is so much open source software for mac's also, that I would say the only left that I use a PC for is to check my websites in IE and quickbooks. However, I'm going to use Parallels for that, so no need for a PC w/ windows at all...

great, wonderful. Now is it possible for apple to put a computer in a "normal" looking case and sell a not so "cutting edge" looking monitor? That'll cut the price several hundred bucks... but that'll never happen.

Same here. Plus, since a lot of the whole mac vs. pc thing USED to be about hardware, and apple is using much of the same internal stuff (with better industrial design / aesthetics / ergonomics) why not buy the better-made stuff (at a small premium which I'd pay any day hence owning a Z not a Mustang lol) with better software that COULD still run XP/Vista if you had to / want to

why not take a Vette and "clad" it up with Pontiac Excitement Division bullshit, making it ugly but hey you could cut down a few bucks off the price, right?
