360 had an extra full year of no competition sales. It will take at least a full year or so until ps3 total sales beat that of the 360s.

Well here are the numbers (they are updated real time so they have changed since you read this):

Xbox 360 - 17,366,162
PS3 - 8,366,330
Wii - 20,264,380

The Wii is blowing everyone away and it has only been out as long as the PS3....and if you watch the numbers go up, the PS3 isn't really gaining on the 360 yet. I think its going to take some drastic to boost sales. Now big games may do it, but I am not so sure. We will see what happens after GT5 and MGS4.

it's a stiff market. With the success of blu-ray and the arrival of some key games, I think the sales of ps3s will increase each month and eventually it will pass the 360. But it def has a long way to go.

I do not see Sony dropping the price of the ps3 for awhile though.

I agree, Sony will gain some steam with the release of some key games like MGS4, GT5, two final fantasy games in 09 along with another RPG from Square Enix...but I think without dropping the price, it is going to take significantly longer to catch up.

Microsoft is already talking about a Blu-Ray add on....

I had to make the decision once again and bought another 360. All the games i like to play are on 360 and PS3 has no games coming out in the next year that I want. IF that changes, ill buy one next year.
