Whoops...typical Microsoft...release a product that's nowhere near ready to run consistently and try to fix a nuclear fallout with a band aid. Looks like they've finally had it all catch up to them...least reliable console...ever.

hmm i don't understand the thing about redownloading content.... if i wanted to upgrade to an elite, I'd have to create a new gamertag?

You need to redownload different types of content if you switch hardware at all, nevermind just going to an elite. This is a big deal when you have games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero. You can bring a hard drive to a friends or whatnot, BUT the songs won't work since they are associated with the particular hardware. So if you download a game while at your friends house on YOUR hard drive, it may not work on your own Xbox.

Never had a problem with mine (going on over 2 years), just noisey as all hell while running. My brothers brand new 360 is queit, but I heard they changed the cd drive around on the new models for better sound/reading etc...

yeah, how do you remove the hard drive on your PS3?

Are you seriously asking a question or are you being sarcastic? The removable hard drive for the xbox isn't as good as it may seem since most of the downloadable content can't be played on someone elses console. So its only good if you want to play a saved game at someone elses house.

Right but i was asking about PS3s hard drive? Is it removable? If your console breaks what happens? Do you lose all your data or can you simply remove the hard drive and switch it to the new system? PLease dont play it off like PS3s dont break either, because they do.
