Harmony670 universal controller

Now that I have my room just about all set up, I decided to go out and pick up one of the "high tech" universal remotes.. lol. Its the Logitech Harmony 670. All I have to say is HOLY S**T... this thing is amazing. I have every tv (including my projector), both cable boxes, both a/v receivers, my xbox, and even my friggin air conditioner all programmed to it. I can simply select which device, and have 100% full control over it. Also, if i want to watch tv, watch a movie, listen to a cd, or play my xbox, all I have to do is press a single corressponding button to that "activity" and the damn thing automatically turns all of the devices on, and sets up the input sources accordingly. In addition, if i change my "activity", it will automatically power off any device I am no longer using. Now its even got me into looking into the Home Automation remote lighting controllers.... which I will hopefully be getting shortly. With that I'll be able to control the lighting in my living room, my bar room, and both bedrooms from one of 3 switches, or right from this remote control. I am also going to hook up a motion sensor in my living room so when you open the door, it will automatically turn the lights on.
Sorry for the long post, but I am completely amazed by what this thing can do. If anyone is looking for a remote to control everything you own (that is remote control capable), this one is WELL worth the money!!

Kenny

I have one of those remotes as well. I have a ton of stuff programmed in it as well, including air conditioners, its definitely awesome. I love the activity buttons...I can hit one button and it will switch the input on my TV, turn on my surround sound and dvd player and hit the play button.
